Paediatrics

Osteopathy is a gentle treatment suitable for children and babies and is taught at undergraduate level. During her studies, Luba was a regular attendant in the university paediatric clinic and has followed her studies by attending a number of postgraduate courses to further her experience in paediatric osteopathy, which can soothe and relax your baby and child.

Cranial osteopathy – which is a safe, gentle and non-invasive technique – is ideal for children and babies as they have softer skeletons to cope with growth and development. Osteopathic techniques are suitable for children at all stages of their development and as with adults, we assess in the initial consultations to understand how we can best help you and your child.

Women’s health

During pregnancy women are likely to encounter many changes to their bodies, including changes to posture, softening of ligaments and additional pressure on the joints, pelvis and spine from weight gain. Postural adaptation can continue in the post-natal period when breastfeeding or carrying children on the hip.

As a mother herself, Luba fully understands how pregnancy can affect the body, suffering from Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction (SPD) when pregnant with her son. This experience has driven Luba to undertake extensive training to provide holistic person centred care for women as their bodies adapt to the demands of pregnancy and beyond.

Menopausal symptoms bring another change to the physical health of women in their later 40’s and early 50’s. Having graduated as a 3rd age woman’s advocate, we provide hands-on manual therapy to reduce aches and pains, we can also offer advice on nutrition and lifestyle to fully support your journey.

Sports injuries

Luba has worked with local sportspeople for the past six years and contracts for Official Sports Service, which provides treatment to professional sports teams travelling in the UK. Luba has worked with international netball and rugby teams as a soft tissue therapists continuing her association as an osteopath.
