Everything you need to know and more
What do I need to know before treatment?
You need to wear appropriate clothing for your treatment (shorts for men and shorts/vest/sports bra for women). These will ensure the postural assessment, observation and muscle tests can be carried out more effectively. Do not eat a heavy meal before the treatment. If you have been doing sports then please freshen up before attending treatments, and ensure you have enough time available to relax and enjoy the treatment.
What products do you use during treatment?
We only use natural oils and waxes during all our treatments. If you do have any skin allergies please let us know when you book and we will tailor your treatment accordingly.

How much does a treatment cost?
Our prices vary depending on the package you have requested, all prices can be viewed here.
Will my treatment be painful?
There are times when your treatment will be slightly uncomfortable. This is due to deep pressure/trigger point techniques which help relieve muscles tension and pain long term. After a short period the pain will diminish and it will begin to feel soothing and relaxing. Your therapist will use a rule of thumb from 1-10 which uses 1 as no pain and 10 as extremely painful.
How many treatments do I need?
This depends on the type of injury you have or the type of treatment you are looking for. Some of our clients like to have regular monthly treatments to keep their body in peak condition and prevent injuries from happening in the first place.
What advice can you give me for after my treatment?
Massage unlocks toxins and releases stress and tension held within soft tissue of the body. It is important that you follow the correct aftercare!
- Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins that have been released from the tissue.
- Rest as much as possible following treatment, this will assist the healing process.
- Avoid alcohol or any other stimulants (including tea/coffee) after treatment as these will dehydrate you.
- Only eat a light meal. Eating large meals will cause blood to be diverted to the gut to help with the digestion of food. The demands of digestion will divert energy away from the healing process.
You may experience a headache and/or dizziness due to improved circulation, this is only temporary. Bruising can occur due to deep pressure/trigger point technique. You may also experience soreness and tenderness on areas massaged.
The after-effects should resolve within 48 hours. If you are at all worried about any of these please get in touch and we will be happy to discuss your concerns.
Where will my treatment take place?
All our treatment appointments take place at Framfield Medical Centre, Ipswich Road, Woodbridge, Suffolk IP12 4FD. We have plenty of parking available outside the building.
